Narooma is the base for a fleet of modern charter boats, all operated by experienced professionals. Full and half day charters will take you sightseeing, diving, wildlife, reef, sports and deep sea fishing tours. Below you will find some of the tours available to you.

Montague Island Tours

The number one attraction of the South Coast is undoubtedly a Tour to Montague Island Nature Reserve. Relax aboard one of our two licensed charter vessels and enjoy your twenty minute voyage to Montague's resident Seal Colony. Along the way you may encounter pods of migrating Whales (Sept to Nov), vast schools of friendly Dolphins, basking Sunfish, Manta Rays, or acres of pelagic fish. In the company of your National Parks & Wildlife Service Tour Guide you will land on the Island to observe the resident wildlife and explore the magnificent Heritage Buildings where refreshments are served.

Whale Watching

1994 saw the first dedicated Whale Watching Tours start from Narooma. After seeing large pods of migrating Whales during the months of September through to November, Narooma Charters decided to run specialized Whale Watching Tours. The Whale Watching has proved to be so popular it is now one of the most popular times of year with people from all over the world coming to see these magnificent creatures.

Diving & Snorkelling

Montague Island located just 5 nautical miles off the coast from Narooma is one of diving's most diverse and best kept secrets. The islands unique location offers dozens of dive locations and the advantage of dives in almost any weather conditions. Because of its position it can offer different dives at different times of the year. For example during the cooler months you can experience the sheer exhilaration of playing with up to 1400 very friendly, very agile, very playful Fur seals. Or maybe witness one of nature's brilliant Humpback whales or the spectacle of a pod of dolphins or Orcas.

Fishing

You can enjoy Fishing these famous southern waters with professional charter boat captains. The thrills of successful offshore fishing need not be confined to the expert few, even our novice anglers have recorded some remarkable captures. Our skippers believe that fishing should always be fun.

Inlet Fishing Charters

Regular fishing charters leave the Marina in Revierside Drive at 9am daily, return 12md. Charters subject to minimum numbers. This is a fun fishing experience for families and others who enjoy time on the water and would like to catch a fish. No fishing experience necessary, all fishing gear, bait and licences supplied.
